Number twenty in my personal collection: Aaron Judge's 2017 Topps rookie card, #287, the version from the boxed factory set, graded a 9 Mint by TAG.
The card
This is Judge's flagship Topps rookie: him running the bases in the Yankees gray road uniform and batting helmet, with the Yankees top-hat logo and his name along the bottom and the RC logo in the corner. The one on TAG's label as Complete Sets came out of Topps' boxed factory sets, which is a little different from the pack version.
Why it matters
Pair it with the short print right before it and you've got Judge's rookie both ways. He won Rookie of the Year with 52 homers that season, hit an AL-record 62 in 2022, and has piled up MVP awards since.
The grade
TAG grades with computer imaging and posts a full report for every card, with close-ups of the corners, edges and surface. This one came back a 9 Mint, with one small spot flagged on a front corner and everything else clean. As of October 2026 TAG has graded nine of this card, six got a 9, and mine is tied for 3rd highest of those. You can see the whole report at my.taggrading.com.
