Number fourteen in my personal collection, and the partner to the last one: the blue parallel of Shohei Ohtani's 2018 Topps Legends in the Making card, #LITM-2, graded a 10 Gem Mint by TAG.
The card
Same photo as the regular Legends in the Making, Ohtani set to throw in the red Angels #17, but the background is a deep blue splatter instead of white. The blue version is a lot harder to find than the regular one, and it's the most valuable of my Ohtanis.
Why it matters
Having the regular and the blue side by side, both 10s, is one of my favorite parts of the binder. It's Ohtani the pitcher from his rookie year, in the tougher color.
The grade
TAG grades with computer imaging and posts a full report for every card, with close-ups of the corners, edges and surface. This one came back a 10 Gem Mint with no flaws flagged on the corners, edges or surface. As of October 2026 TAG has graded just eight of the blue version, only three got a 10, and mine is tied for 2nd highest score. You can see the whole report at my.taggrading.com.
